yes but how many points…similar situation and have been trying to resolve for over a year now. I am a NJ driver and cannot get an answer how much OR how many points it will be if I take the reduction…..
The 1175 is a 2 point non-speeding violation. Fines vary by case, but if you search “1175″ on our website, you’ll see a couple cases in other courts where the client was fined $100.00 plus a surcharge with an 1175 reduction. I hope that helps.
I received a similar ticket (74 in a 55) and the fine was $200 + an $85 surcharge. As a side note, the town of Dickinson has just a tiny sliver of jurisdiction across interstate 81. By lowering the speed limit in this small, but wide open stretch of highway (not going through a city or windy section of the roadway) I’m sure they make a ton of money off of speeding violations for their little village.
